New Things New Miracles

Mis queridos,
I love my new companion!!! Sister Garbett is from Alabama and has been out for around the same amount of time as I have been. This is the first time that I haven't been in training or training someone else so it's a little different! But I love feeling like we both decently know what we're doing. I feel like I'm getting a break since training was pretty stressful for me. I learned some humility though, so that's good. I've had some sweet experiences with being led by the Spirit. I've finally figured out that companionship unity and following the Spirit are always more important than what I think. Still working on completely applying that knowledge, but it's pretty cool. Yesterday we were
headed to an apartment and then I had an impression to change plans and go somewhere else. We ended up finding someone at home with their member brother there which opened the opportunity for us to go in! And another time we contacted a lady and found out her brother had just passed away so we were able to share about the plan of salvation!
Sister Garbett and I find ourselves telling each other, "Our comp unity is on point" all the time because it's true. The Spirit is so amazing. In a dinner the other day we were with one of our favorite members. Her boyfriend who has been less active for a while was there, and she has mentioned concerns to us about helping him get back to the temple. I had the privilege of watching the Spirit work through Sister Garbett as she recalled an experience of a returned missionary receiving advice of how to continue feeling the missionary Spirit. She said "The missionary spirit is the same Spirit found in the temple." It really affected him and it was a really powerful moment. I challenge all of you to make the temple a priority in your life. If you haven't been there, make a plan to prepare yourself to go!
Our investigators are well, [D], [Mar], and [Mau] are on date. We're worried about the last two since they are searching for jobs where they don't have to work on Sunday. They are exercising a lot of faith but it's hard! I was so impressed with them when they turned down a job offer in order to be able to go to church on Sundays. What great faith! It filled my heart to hear them tell me this week that the gospel filled a hole in their lives they didn't know was there. I love them so much.
Too many stories to tell, but the Lord is really blessing Millcreek, Utah. The Lord brings the prepared from nations across the world here to Salt Lake. A member in a dinner last week told us they hadn't seen so many people baptized in this ward that have been the past few months as have been in the past few years. Wow!
I'm learning about how to help our recent converts adjust into their wards! It's really cool to hear how the gift of the Holy Ghost is blessing their lives. [A] said it helped her have calm when work was crazy and [Se] said it reminded him to read his scriptures. Just working on getting them to the temple! That's where the Lord does his most important work. And [S] has been such a great missionary, coming to lessons for [B] and everything. Love you all! Miracles and trials of faith about, but it's always always worth it. Being a missionary is the best. Hasta luego,
Hermana Alley
P.S. Twisted my ankle running this week which was hard for a couple days in a walking area but I'm so grateful for the priesthood! The Elders gave me a blessing :)
